Spend your weekend in Redwood City’s “outdoor living room”. august Palo Alto Festival of the Arts Sat 8/22 & Sun 8/23, Fri Aug 28, 10 am - 6 pm University Ave, Downtown Palo Alto www.mlaproductions.com The festivalcelebrates its 27th year on tree-lined University Avenue in beautiful downtown Palo Alto featuring three hundred fine artists and crafterswhose work you'll see only at select shows on the West Coast.This year plein air artists, Shirley Lehner-Rhoades & Tonya Zenin, will be painting street scenes at various locations throughout the festival. At the Italian Street Painting Expochalk artists will not only be creating works of art on the asphalt, but they will also have work for sale on display in the Open Aire Gallery. KDFC radio will be hosting the KDFC Classical Corner: a joint effort between the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra & KDFC to bring classical music to the public. Don't miss this great experience from 11 am until 2 pm both days.Lytton Plaza will be the center of activity at 2 pm on Saturday. IN STYLE Palo Alto, a high-fashion show with designer apparel presented by local retailers: Far East Living, Fashion Passion & JoS. A. Bank Clothiers. Members of the community will strut down a 32 foot runway showcasing garments for the eclectic shopper.
